Forty days.
One kriya.
All together.
40 days to show up for yourself and feel more grounded & present.
Every spring, we pick one Kundalini Yoga kriya and practice it together online for 40 consecutive days. Free, as always.
This spring's practice: Kriya for Creating Internal Balance.
Why forty days
Repetition is the practice.
In Kundalini Yoga, 40 days is one of its foundational practices.
Why? Because we are what we repeat. 40 days is the minimum time needed for a new habit to take root in the nervous system — long enough that the body stops treating the practice as an event and starts treating it as normal.
The kriya we chose this spring, Creating Internal Balance, works on the nervous system's capacity to regulate. One hour. The same sequence, day after day. People report sleeping better, reacting less, feeling more present. Not because they tried harder — because they showed up consistently.
Most people who finish come back the following year. The kriya changes. They do too.
What you are joining
One hour a day. Forty days that stay with you.
You wake up to a daily inspiring email that sets the tone and gives you something to carry into the practice. You go to your mat — same kriya, every day, for 40 days. Live with us at 06:30h CEST, or from the recording whenever it fits. That is the whole structure.
Register and you will receive a welcome guide with the kriya PDF and everything you need before May 27. You will also have access to the teachers in case you have any question.
- Daily live classes Monday to Friday at 06:30–07:30h CEST on our YouTube channel, led by all the teachers of Imagine Yoga Academy. Recordings stay available for weekends and missed days.
So you start the day grounded, not behind. - A daily email for each of the 40 days — a short personal note written specifically for this practice. Not automated content. Written for this.
So you never wake up wondering whether you feel like showing up. - Direct access to the teachers throughout the 40 days. If something comes up — physically, emotionally, or just a question about the practice — you can ask.
Because doing this with support is different from doing it alone. - Welcome guide on registration: the kriya PDF, preparation instructions, and everything set up before May 27.
So day one feels easy, not overwhelming.
The daily hour
How each session is structured.
Every session follows the same arc. The structure is intentional — it trains the nervous system to settle faster each time you sit down to practice.

This spring's practice
Creating Internal Balance.
This Kundalini Yoga set targets the nervous system — specifically the capacity to find equilibrium when under stress, emotional pressure, or mental overload.
It is not physically demanding. What it asks is consistency. The effects of this kriya are cumulative — they build across the 40 days in a way that a single session cannot replicate.
A notebook helps. A few lines before or after practice — not journaling as a task, just observations. It tends to make the 40 days more useful.
"Forty days with the same kriya is a different experience than forty different classes. The practice becomes familiar. Then it becomes useful."
Pedro also recorded a video explaining the theory behind 40-day practices — why 40 days, what happens neurologically, and what to expect. Watch it here →
Meet the team
You will receive classes from all of our teachers.
We have been running this 40-day practice as a community event since 2020. Sessions are led by our full team — Kundalini Yoga trainers based in Switzerland and Spain. If you have a question during the 40 days, you write to us directly.
Voices from past editions
What people say about the experience.
"I enjoyed the practice and every day seemed new (not different). Sometimes I didn't even remember what the next asana was, because I was so much in the moment."
"Something shifted around day 18 and it never went back. I don't know how to explain it better than that."
"I came in skeptical. I finished it. I'm doing it again this year."
"The daily emails made a real difference. It didn't feel like I was doing this by myself."
"I missed three days in week two and was convinced I had to start over. I didn't. I finished. It still worked."
For those who want to go further
Some people finish the 40 days and want more.
Every year, a handful of participants finish the practice and start asking about the 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Zürich, Geneva & Lugano. About half the people who take it have no intention of teaching — they come for the 10 months of guided self-knowledge that a 40-day practice opens the door to.
If that is where you are, the training runs in Geneva, Zürich, and Lugano.
10 months in Geneva, Zürich or Lugano.
October 2026 to July 2027. Personalised attention. In-person weekends, online sessions in between, and a four-day closing retreat in the Swiss mountains.
Questions
Things people ask before registering.
No. The practice is guided from the beginning. If you have never done Kundalini Yoga before, this is a practical way to start. If you have practiced for years, you know what 40 days can produce.
Yes. We have run the 40-day practice as a free community event since 2020. That is not changing.
One hour. Live sessions run 06:30–07:30h CEST Monday to Friday. Recordings are available the same day if that time does not work for you.
Yogic tradition says you restart from day one. Our position: acknowledge it and keep going. Forty days with two gaps is more useful than stopping at day 12 over a missed session.
Immediately: a welcome guide with the kriya PDF and preparation instructions. During the 40 days: a daily email from us, access to all live sessions and recordings, and direct access to ask the teachers questions.
English on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. English and Spanish on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Yes! You must register so you receive everything regarding the present 40-day practice. The kriya is different every year. And the people who come back tend to get more from it the second time — they already know what to expect and stop managing the experience.
Yes. Completing a 40-day sadhana is actually one of the requirements to receive the certification in the 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Zürich, Geneva & Lugano. It is also a foundational experience of any serious Kundalini Yoga practitioner — whether or not you plan to teach.

No. There are no previous requirements to join the 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Zürich, Geneva & Lugano. That said, a 40-day practice is a valuable experience for anyone considering the training — and many of our current students did their first one through this community event before applying.
