Who arrives here

She was working at a big law firm in Switzerland.

You know how it looks — long hours, high performance, all the external markers of a life that was working. Then one day it stopped. The job ended. And in the silence that followed, something she had been carrying without knowing finally became loud enough to hear.

She did not search for a Kundalini Yoga teacher training. She was searching for something. This is what she found. Her name is Laura, she studied with us in Geneva — more about her soon.

Most people who arrive at Imagine arrive from a version of that same moment. A job loss, a divorce, a diagnosis, a birthday that lands differently than expected. And sometimes nothing loud at all. Just a soft but persistent sense that the life they are living is not quite theirs.

Our training does not fix that. It gives you the time, the structure, and the practice to find out — because only you can do that.

A story from inside this training

She got fired from a big law firm.
She said the universe organised it on purpose.

Laura arrived at the training with nothing to lose. Her job at a large law firm had just ended. She did not know exactly what she was looking for — only that something had to change, and that she was finally ready to let it.

She did not find technique. She did not find a certification. She found something she had not expected to find at all.

The biggest change is that I met my soul — and I am so grateful I did. Go and meet your soul. Your heart will bloom. — Laura · 200h & 300h Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training

About half the people who do this training have no intention of teaching when they arrive. They come because something in their life has shifted and they are ready — even if they cannot yet say for what. The certification is real and is yours. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

One training. Three cities.

Choose the city that works for your life.

The curriculum, the lead trainers, and the Yoga Alliance certification are identical across all three locations. What changes is the city and the community you build. Miss a weekend in one city — recover it in another.

In their own words

What changes, when something changes.

Lisa · 200h & 300h · Geneva

"I'm surrounded by love and non-judgment. I can bare my soul with no fear. My life is 180 degrees from where I was. I have absolutely no regrets. Not one."

I sat for a couple of Kundalini classes before deciding to do a teacher training and I was completely blown away by the effectiveness in such a short period of time, whether or not I believed in what I was doing. And then I came to a weekend training before signing up for the teacher training — I spent the entire weekend in tears. I thought: well, okay, obviously I need to be here. There's work to be done and this has touched me right where I needed to be touched — in my heart. And so this is why I do Kundalini. I'm surrounded by love, non-judgment, and now I've created a family. A family. So I come here and I can bare my soul with no fear of any damage being done to my person. My growth has been exponential. My life is 180 degrees from where I was when I started. And I have absolutely no regrets. Not one. I'm living in love every day of my life right now. I would say about Imagine that it has offered me a terrific opportunity to explore in-depth my personal resistance to growth — my growth and the growth of other people around me. The group of people that I'm involved with is phenomenal. The energy that's here is completely mind-blowing. I'm surprised every single time I come to a training. Every single time I walk out feeling absolutely radiant. Can't buy that in a bottle.

Lamiaa · 200h & 300h · Zürich

"I found my own strengths and I learned how to love myself. It's not just about teaching — it's mostly about learning how to be a student of life."

I decided after a while that it was not giving me what I needed from life, so I looked for something to make some change and I found Imagine Academy — and I found the change that I was looking for. Those two years of the training were transformational, to say the least. So much happened, so much came out, and so many issues were resolved. And I found my own strengths and I learned how to love myself — and that has been a very big lesson that I needed in my life, and I'm so happy that I found it. It's not just about teaching — it's mostly about learning how to be a student of life and how to look at the universe and take what it's giving. Imagine Academy is the people of Imagine Academy. It's the love. How anyone is accepted and loved as they are. And it's just this collective energy that is very positive and it really helps you be the best version of you.

Kundalini Yoga teacher training — Imagine Yoga Academy Switzerland
Why Imagine

What makes this school different.

Fourteen years. Three Swiss cities. Over 900 graduates. A few things have become clear about what actually works — and what doesn't.

No dogma. No rules about who you should be.

You will not be told what to wear, what to eat, what to believe, or who to be. No 3HO affiliation. We teach Kundalini Yoga as a method of self-knowledge — the path is yours to walk. As Luzia put it: "Nobody tells me what to be. I can come as I am."

Teachers with over 20 years of practice.

Daniela Troconis and Pedro Misle have been practising since 2004 and 2006 and training teachers since 2012. They teach every cohort personally across all three Swiss cities. What they bring into the room is not a curriculum. It is twenty years of living it.

No advanced student. No beginner.

There is no right way to have the experience. You give what you have on the day — and that is always enough. Celine came to the training during years of chronic fatigue, sleeping an hour between blocks. That was her practice. The training met her exactly where she was.

Personalised support from start to finish.

The team offers guidance at every stage of the training. You will have individual time with the lead trainers and local Teacher Trainers throughout the programme — not just access to a curriculum, but real contact with people who are paying attention.

Something here that does not happen in most rooms.

Most students are still in touch with their group years after the training ends. Not because a community was engineered — but because something happens in this container. Across all three cities, students keep reaching for the same word. Family.

Miss a weekend — recover it in another city.

Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano share the same curriculum and coordinated calendar. If life gets in the way of a seminar, you attend it in another city or through the online platform. The programme is designed for people who work full time.

There is no single best Kundalini Yoga teacher training — or any yoga training, for that matter. What matters is the experience of the teachers and whether you connect with what the school transmits. At Imagine Yoga Academy, we have been training Kundalini Yoga teachers in Switzerland since 2012, with over 900 graduates across Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano.

Can I study the Imagine Yoga Academy 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Lausanne?

There is no in-person programme in Lausanne, but students from Lausanne regularly join the Geneva cohort — the closest location. The training is designed for working professionals: only four weekends per year are in-person, making the journey to Geneva entirely manageable.

Can I study the Imagine Yoga Academy 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Basel or Bern?

There is no in-person programme in Basel or Bern, but students from both cities regularly attend the Zürich cohort. Only four weekends per year are in-person, so travelling to Zürich is very manageable from anywhere in German-speaking Switzerland.

Can I study the Imagine Yoga Academy 200h Kundalini Yoga Training in Ticino or Italian-speaking Switzerland?

Yes. The Lugano cohort is held in the heart of Ticino, the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland. It is the only Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Italian-speaking Switzerland, taught in English with Italian support from local Teacher Trainer Marilena Capobianco.

Can I do a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Switzerland in English?

Yes. All three Imagine Yoga Academy programmes — in Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano — are taught in English. Local Teacher Trainers in each city provide additional support in German (Zürich), French (Geneva), and Italian (Lugano).

How long does a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Switzerland take?

The Level I 200h runs over approximately nine months, from October to July. It includes four in-person weekend seminars, weekly live online sessions, self-study through the online curriculum, and a four-day closing retreat in the Swiss Alps at Kientalerhof.

Can I become a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher in Switzerland?

Yes. Upon completion of the Level I 200h, graduates receive a Kundalini Yoga Instructor certificate from Imagine Yoga Academy, recognised by Yoga Alliance internationally. The training runs in Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano.

Is Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Switzerland recognised by Yoga Alliance?

Yes. The 200h Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training at Imagine Yoga Academy is certified by Yoga Alliance. Graduates receive a 200h recognised certificate, allowing them to teach internationally.

How long has Imagine Yoga Academy been offering Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Switzerland?

Since 2012. Imagine Yoga Academy is one of the oldest and most experienced Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training programmes in Switzerland, with over 900 graduates across Zürich, Geneva, Lugano, and online.

Can I attend a seminar in Geneva and recover a missed one in Zürich or Lugano?

Yes. The three Swiss programmes share the same curriculum and a coordinated calendar. If you miss a seminar in your city, you can attend the equivalent seminar in either of the other two Swiss cities, or recover the content through the online platform. This cross-city flexibility is built into the programme by design.

What is the difference between the Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano trainings?

The curriculum, lead trainers, format, and Yoga Alliance certification are identical across all three cities. What differs is the location, the local Teacher Trainer, and the community. In Zürich, the local trainer is Judith Ender, co-founder of Gobinde Yoga. In Geneva, the local trainer is Shahrazad Chida. In Lugano, the local trainer is Marilena Capobianco. All three cohorts meet at the closing retreat in the Swiss Alps.

Is Imagine Yoga Academy associated with 3HO or Yogi Bhajan?

No. Imagine teaches Kundalini Yoga free of dogma, with no affiliation to 3HO and no reference to Yogi Bhajan. No required dress code, diet, or beliefs. We teach Kundalini Yoga as a method of self-knowledge, certified by Yoga Alliance.

Is this training religious or too spiritual?

No. Imagine teaches Kundalini Yoga as a practical method of self-knowledge — not as a religion and not as a lifestyle system with rules. The training is open to people of all backgrounds, including those with no prior interest in spirituality.

What is the difference between the 200h and the 300h training?

The Level I 200h is the foundational training, open to everyone with or without prior yoga experience. The Level II 300h is an advanced training for graduates of any 200h Yoga Alliance certified programme — it goes deeper into the Ten Body System, subtle energetic anatomy, tantric meditations, and advanced kriyas. Both are certified by Yoga Alliance.

Can I join the 300h if I completed my 200h with a different school?

Yes. The Level II 300h is open to graduates of any 200h Yoga Alliance certified teacher training, regardless of school or yoga style.

    Who are the lead trainers?

Daniela Troconis Daly and Pedro Misle, co-founders of Imagine Yoga Academy, who teach across all three Swiss cities. Daniela has been practising yoga since 2004 and training teachers since 2012. Pedro has been practising since 2006 and training teachers since 2012. Both are Yoga Alliance E-RYT certified. Each city also has a dedicated local Teacher Trainer: Judith Ender in Zürich, Shahrazad Chida in Geneva, and Marilena Capobianco in Lugano.

    Are there payment plans?

Yes. Early Bird 3,500 CHF until July 15, 2026. Standard 3,900 CHF. Payment plans: one payment of 3,600 CHF, two payments of 1,850 CHF, or 1,400 CHF plus five monthly payments of 500 CHF. Scholarships available on request.

Where is the closing retreat held?

At Kientalerhof in the Swiss Alps — a four-day residential retreat with daily Kundalini Yoga, meditation, live music, silence, and community. All three Swiss city cohorts attend together. For the 2026–2027 cohort: July 8–11, 2027.

Do I need to want to teach yoga to take this training?

No. About half of students take the training as a path of personal transformation with no intention of teaching. The Yoga Alliance certification is yours to use, or not.

Do I need previous yoga experience?

No. The technique is taught from the foundations. What it asks of you is willingness — to show up, to practise, and to look inward.

What is the difference between Kundalini Yoga and other yoga styles?

Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. Unlike styles focused primarily on physical posture, Kundalini Yoga combines breathwork, movement, mantra, and meditation to work directly on the nervous system, the mind, and emotional patterns. The goal is self-knowledge. The practice is the tool, not the destination.
