The Wisdom You Can Only Feel
After 20 years of practice and more than a decade training teachers, Pedro has one core realization: the real power of Kundalini Yoga is not in what we think when we practice. It's in what we feel through it.
Listen now
There's a kind of wisdom that can't be studied, read, or reasoned. It lives in the body — the quiet intelligence that has carried your entire story and still knows the way home.
Every posture represents a life situation. Some asanas require flexibility, others require strength or patience or endurance. They show us who we are when life requires what that posture is asking for. During one long sequence, Pedro noticed he was holding an arm raise with anger — using it as fuel. And in that moment, he recognized: he'd been doing that in his life too. That is embodied wisdom.
Pranayama reveals the same thing. In yoga, we say the way you breathe is the way you live. When we hold the breath too long, we feel the tension of trying to control everything. When we exhale too fast, we sense the impulse to let go before we're ready. And when we breathe too shallow, it's like saying: I don't fully trust there will be enough.
3 Key Takeaways From This Episode
- 01 Asana shows you who you are under pressure. Every posture is a life situation in miniature. How you hold it reveals how you meet challenge — with rigidity, with anger, with trust. The body doesn't lie, and that's exactly what makes it so useful.
- 02 The way you breathe is the way you live. Pranayama isn't a physical exercise. It's a map of your relationship with life — how much you trust, how much you resist, whether you believe there's enough. Each inhale says: I'm here. Each exhale says: I trust.
- 03 Chanting is remembering, not performing. When we vibrate with mantra, we give shape to what words can't reach. We use the throat — the center of truth — to realign with the frequency of who we really are. The point is not to chant well. It's to vibrate honestly.

The Body Doesn't Lie
After 20 years of practice and more than a decade training teachers, I've realized that the real power of Kundalini Yoga is not in what we think when we practice. It is about what we feel through it. I am talking about the kind of wisdom that lives in our bodies, and the beautiful — and yes, sometimes uncomfortable — thing is that the body does not lie. It simply shows us what's real.
Our bodies carry our entire story. They remember everything. The fears, the triumphs, the heartbreaks, the ways we've tried to protect ourselves. You can see it in how we breathe, how we stand, even in how we enter a room. We can analyze ourselves for years, but at some point the mind just circles around the same ideas. True recognition happens when something shifts inside — when the body says: that's true, because you feel it.
Yoga Postures: Asana
Every posture represents a life situation. Some asanas require flexibility, others require strength, patience, endurance, resistance — and some require everything at once. They show us who we are when life requires what that asana is requiring.
Once during a long sequence, I had to keep my arms raised for what felt like an eternity. My shoulders were burning, my mind was screaming to put them down. But I didn't. I kept going, and suddenly I realized I was holding the posture with anger — using it as fuel. And in that moment, I recognized: I've been doing that in my life too — pushing through things with anger. And just like that, I knew: I don't want to live from that place anymore. That is embodied wisdom. That is the information asana gives us.
The Wisdom of Breath: Pranayama
Our life begins with an inhale and ends with an exhale, and between those two, everything unfolds. In yoga, we say the way you breathe is the way you live. Your breath tells you everything about how you relate to life — how much you trust, how much you resist, whether you believe that what you already have inside is enough.
When we hold the breath too long, we feel the tension of trying to control everything. When we exhale too fast, we sense the impulse to let go before we're ready. And when we breathe too shallow, it's like saying: I don't fully trust there will be enough air. But there is always enough. Because we are already enough.
Vibrating with Authenticity: Mantras
When we chant, we vibrate. We use the throat — the center of truth — and we give shape to sound. Each vibration touches something words can't. It gives voice to what we have never said and allows us to hear what we've longed to hear. When we chant, we're not performing. We're remembering. We are realigning with the frequency of who we really are.
It is not about chanting perfectly. It is about vibrating with yourself, with your truth, vibrating with each other, and finally all of us vibrating with the universe.
Closing
So if you are right now in a moment of life where you're searching for your truth: You won't find it by thinking harder. You will find it by feeling deeper. Your body already knows. Your breath already knows. Your voice already knows.
Yoga helps us feel what we feel. It lets us live the truth we already have inside. When you move, when you breathe, when you chant — you start to remember. And that remembering changes everything. Because your body isn't the obstacle. It is the doorway.
