The recognition

There is a moment that arrives without warning.

You are in a meeting. You are in your home. You are walking back to your apartment after another evening that looked, from the outside, like a perfectly good evening.

And something in you, very quietly, says: this is not it.

Not the job. Not the relationship. Not the body. You. The version of you that has been holding everything together for everyone, for so long, that you have stopped recognising the person in the mirror.

You are not in crisis. That is part of what makes it harder to name. From the outside, life is good. The career, the home, the friendships, they all check out. The exhaustion is not a complaint anyone would understand. It is not even physical. It is the cost of being the one who holds everything.

And underneath it, a quieter question: who am I, when I stop performing?

A story from inside this room

Twenty years in governance reform. Twelve in UN peacekeeping. And then her body asked her to listen.

Shahrazad spent two decades building a career most people would call meaningful. Governance reform. Peacekeeping missions. The kind of work that holds nations together while quietly asking everything of the person doing it.

She came to yoga in 2012, not looking for transformation. Looking for something that would let her keep going. In 2019, Kundalini found her, and the practice asked her to do something her career had never asked: to listen to a body she had stopped hearing.

She trained at Imagine, completing her 200h and 300h. Today she hosts our 200h training in Geneva.

I came to this practice because something in me was ending and I didn't have language for it. The training gave me the language, and more than that, the space to stop pretending I was fine. — Shahrazad Chida · Local Host, Geneva

If you recognise yourself in her story, high-functioning, accomplished, quietly tired in a way no holiday has fixed, this is the room you have been waiting to walk into.

The path

Yoga, here, is not a wellness method.

It is not a physical practice, not a belief system, nor a "feel good" activity once a week. It is a method of self-knowledge, refined over thousands of years, designed to help you live a life that comes from your own truth.

The teachers were honest about the catch: the only way to suffer less is to live a life designed from your truth. And, how do you design a life from your truth, if you do not yet fully know what your truth is?

This is what the journey is for. A guided, structured and supported encounter with yourself, in the company of fourteen other people walking the same step.

"You are not a yoga student here. You are a person meeting yourself, and yoga is the method."

We have been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2012, in Switzerland, Spain, India and online. In that time, three things have become clear to us about how we do it.

No dogma. No rules about who you should be.

You will not be told what to wear, what to eat, what to believe, or who to be. We do not teach yoga as a system of rules. We teach it as a method of self-knowledge, and trust you to find your own way through it.

No advanced student. No beginner.

There is no right way to have the experience. Some weekends you will arrive empty. Some weekends you will arrive overflowing. You give what you have on the day, and that is always enough.

Something happens here that does not happen in most rooms.

Most of our students are still in touch with their group years after the training ends. Not because we engineered a community, but because something happens in this journey. Our students keep using one word for it. Family.

Voices from inside

What changes, when something changes.

My learnings have not only been about kriyas, mantras, breathwork and meditation. It has been much deeper learning, which is possible if you let it happen. Dive in, let it happen, and changes will take place much easier.

It demands consistency, but it is so much worth it. Go and meet your soul. You will not be the same after this training. Your heart will bloom. Your vision of the world will change, and your daily life will improve for the good.

The experience has been wonderful, but above all revealing. It is the best money I have invested in a long time. Thank you Imagine, thank you.

The shape of the training

Seven layers. Nine months. One way through.

The training is structured around the seven chakras, not as exotic energy theory, but as the seven layers of a human life. Each module opens one of them. Each layer asks one question that matters.

Roots
Muladhara · Forgiveness, belonging, fear

The first layer is everything that holds you up. Your story. Your body. The ground beneath your feet. We begin here because nothing else holds without this. The first chakra asks the oldest question of being human: do I belong here?

Flow
Svadhisthana · Emotion, desire

The second layer is water. Most of us have learned to edit what we feel before we have even felt it, polishing it for others, controlling it in ourselves. Here we allow it. We learn that the soul speaks through emotion, and that desire, when it is clean, is fuel.

Personal Power
Manipura · Self-esteem, action, worth

The third layer is where we revise our personal power and remember that we did not come to life just to survive. The first chakra is about standing on your feet. The third is about holding your ground.

Heart
Anahata · Compassion, boundaries

The heart has two movements: opening, and protecting. We cannot live disconnected from others. And we cannot pour from an empty self. Compassion does not mean setting yourself on fire to keep someone else warm. Here we learn the rare art of staying open and staying whole at the same time.

Voice
Vishuddha · Truth, communication

Words are vibration, and vibration becomes life. The question is: what life are you shaping with your words? Here we learn to speak from truth instead of performance, to use the voice as connection, not defence.

Clarity
Ajna · Wisdom, determination

Most of us know more than we live. We are full of insight that has not yet become action. This layer closes that gap, by learning to choose what must be done instead of what is easiest.

Connection
Sahasrara · Awareness, oneness

The path opens, and returns, in connection. The seventh layer is the recognition that you are part of a whole, and that everything you do touches it. Every layer before was preparing you for this.

The craft beneath the journey

This is yoga in language a thinking adult can trust.

Underneath the seven layers runs a body of craft refined over thousands of years. The philosophy. The science of the practice. The mind. The breath. The sound. We teach all of it, with rigor, and without dogma.

Foundations

Why this method has survived

What thousands of years of practice have learned about the human being, and what neuroscience, psychology and the deeper sciences are beginning to confirm about why it works. Yoga as self-knowledge, in language a thinking adult can trust.

Lineage

What Kundalini actually is

What Kundalini energy is. What awakening means, and what it does not. Where this lineage comes from, and the questions worth asking about its symbols, its silences, and its sound. Honest answers to questions other schools rarely make space for.

Sadhana

The daily practice that holds a life

The art of sadhana. How to build one of your own. The forty-day practices, and the longer ones beyond them. Aradhana, the deeper offering. What to expect, and what not to. The discipline that makes everything else possible.

Mind

How the mind actually works

The Protective, the Projective, and the Meditative Mind, and how each one serves a different layer of your life. The cycle of intellect. Drishtis, the focus techniques that allow the mind to settle, and to see. Where most of our suffering happens, and where it can stop.

Body & Breath

The most precise tool you have

The mechanics of breath, and why pranayama is the most exact tool we have. Foundational pranayama. Bandhas. Alignment for the body you actually have, freeing the hips and shoulders, learning the form that fits you, not the form in the picture.

Mantra and sound

Sound shapes us.

Long before our ancestors had science, they had this: the discovery that a voice, used with intention, can move the body, settle the mind, and open the heart. Kundalini Yoga is the path that kept this discovery alive, and made it practical.

Mantra is one of the great signatures of this lineage. Every kriya, every sadhana, every meditation rests on vibration, on the breath shaped into syllables, on the body made into an instrument, on the simple, ancient act of repeating sounds that reach further than thought.

You will learn the foundational mantras of the practice, what they mean, where they come from, and how to use them.

The teachers

You will know them as people, not as titles.

This is not a programme run by a brand. It is run by three humans who have been doing this work for more than a decade and who teach as themselves. You will recognise their voices long before the year ends.

Daniela Troconis Daly — Lead Trainer, Imagine Yoga Academy

Daniela Troconis Daly

Lead Trainer · Co-founder

Practising yoga since 2004. Teaching Kundalini Yoga teachers since 2012, in Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia and India. Dani teaches with strength and care, anchoring the practice in alignment, presence and breath. Her students leave her classes feeling met.

Pedro Misle — Lead Trainer, Imagine Yoga Academy

Pedro Misle

Lead Trainer · Co-founder

I believe in practice as a daily quest, in personal freedom, and in the right and the duty to become aware of what each moment is offering. For me, yoga is the essence of responsibility, the search for oneself, the choice to live awake. I practise every day to believe a little more in myself, and a little more in you.

Shahrazad Chida — Local Host, Geneva

Shahrazad Chida

Local Host · Geneva

Twenty years in governance reform, twelve of them inside United Nations peacekeeping missions. She came to yoga in 2012, and to Kundalini in 2019. The practice asked her to listen to a body she had stopped hearing. She trained at Imagine, completing her 200h and 300h, and now hosts the 200h with us in Geneva.

More voices

Not what they expected. Better than what they expected.

The most magical part of this teacher's training is that you are, from the very first day, part of a family. The course is well rounded, physical, spiritual, philosophical. There is a sense of freedom which I loved, and you and your unique being is a priority over any teachings.

I was looking for community, a place to feel a belonging, and this is exactly what this school has given me. The professionalism of the teachers was second to none. They were always there for me, encouraged us with no judgement, and only showed love and kindness whenever a challenge arose.

It became a pillar of stability and acceptance during my process of adaptation to a new country. Finding myself in a safe space with people from many backgrounds was enriching and inspiring at the same time. I found people I keep in touch with as close friends.

It's not dogmatic. I can come as I am. Nobody is telling me what to be. That is the best thing you can give yourself.

The next step

Book a call before you book a seat.

The energy in the room will be the energy of the people in the room. This is why we take much care in who sits with us. As well, we want you to decide with full information, and we want to be sure we are the right teachers for what you are searching for.

The call is the way we do that. Twenty minutes with Daniela Troconis or Pedro Misle. You ask the questions you have not seen answered on this page. We get a sense of where you are, and whether this is the right training for this moment in your life. Sometimes it is not, and we say so.

The room is fifteen people. We want it to be the right fifteen.

If you are still hesitating

You are probably asking yourself one of these.

"I don't want to teach yoga. Is this still for me?"

About half of our students take the training as a path of self-knowledge, with no intention of teaching. The 200h is built as a journey within yourself. The certification is yours to use, or not.

"I am not flexible / not advanced / not spiritual enough."

There are no advanced students here, and no beginners either. Yoga is not the goal, it is the tool. The goal is self discovery that becomes self knowledge. This process only requires your commitment and honesty.

"I don't have nine months to give to anything."

You don't have to find nine months. You have to redistribute the energy of the nine months you are already living. Most of our students do this training while continuing their full lives, careers, families, travels. The format is built for it: four weekends, online curriculum at your pace, one retreat at the end. Additionally, we offer our training in Zürich and Lugano as well. So, if you miss a date in Geneva you can always recover it in one of our other cities. Dedicating time to yourself will inevitably spill over the rest of your life.

"I am too late. I am too old. I have missed the moment."

The average age of our students is between 40 and 48. Many arrive at exactly the moment you are arriving, when the structure they built no longer fits. The training is not for who you were. It is for who you are about to meet.

"What if I cannot make a seminar weekend?"

If something comes up, work, illness, family, you can recover the content through the online platform, or attend the same seminar in Zürich or Lugano. All of our students are very busy people, we have designed the programme thinking about this.

"I am worried it will be too dogmatic / too spiritual / too cult-like."

We have heard this concern from people who came in cautious and stayed for years. Imagine teaches Kundalini Yoga free of dogma. We do not invoke gurus. We do not require anyone to dress, eat, or believe in any particular way. We do not teach yoga as a system of rules. We teach it as a method of self-knowledge.
