Tenth Gate
The crown of the head, where the body's energy is said to cascade in like a waterfall.
Meaning
What Tenth Gate Means
The Tenth Gate is the crown of the head, the point where the inflow of life energy, prana, is said to cascade into the body like a waterfall before collecting in pools, the chakras, along the spine. It is also identified with Sahasrara, the seventh chakra, the Crown Chakra, associated with transcendence, humility and vastness.
Where the sixth chakra is associated with subtle light, the seventh is associated with cosmic sound, the sensation ancient seers tried to capture in the sound of a gong building to a vibrant crescendo. The Seventh Chakra carries the key characteristic of surrender, the humility felt in bowing before the infinite.

How It’s Used
One of the common Drishtis in meditation focuses at the Tenth Gate, at the crown chakra, with the eyes closed and turned upward as though looking through the top of the head; this stimulates the pineal gland and the crown chakra itself.
Yoga exercises associated with this chakra include Ego Eradicator, Maha Bandha, Sat Kriya, concentrating at the tip of the nose, and meditation generally. Its Bij Mantra is Ang.
