Meaning
What Yogic Numerology Means
Yogic Numerology builds a personal chart from five positions, each calculated from a different part of a person's date of birth. The Soul number is the day of birth, representing inner longing and the challenge of finding one's true identity. The Karma number is the month of birth, tied to the relationships we build and how we communicate within them.
The Divine Gift number comes from adding the last two digits of the birth year, representing an innate strength given by a higher power. The Destiny number comes from adding all the digits of the birth year, representing what a person has been working on for lifetimes. The Path of Life number comes from adding all the digits of the full birth date, representing the challenge of that person's life path.

How It’s Used
To calculate each number, the digits are added together and reduced to their lowest denominator, with 10 and 11 accepted as final numbers. For example, 12 becomes 1 + 2 = 3, and 27 becomes 2 + 7 = 9.
The manual frames the Soul and Karma numbers as the inner work a person is asked to do, and the Divine Gift and Destiny numbers as positive traits to build on rather than judge. Reading a chart is treated as a starting point for reflection during training, not as a fixed verdict on a student's character.
