How It’s Used

This is a mantra of protection, recited to invoke the protective energy of the universe. In the Kundalini Yoga tradition, it's chanted three times in a row, right after the Adi Mantra, at the beginning of class.

Many people chant it when they need extra protection, or when they need to let go of negativity.

It's considered a Mangala Charan: the power of Mars, the lord of war. It builds a cosmic warrior around you, defending you on every side.
